Terms and refunds

This agreement is between you and RMKSOUND Oy ("RMKSOUND", Ilmajoki, Finland) and governs your use of the INDX Audio desktop and mobile applications of RMKSOUND Oy: SOUNDINDX, SCRIPTINDX, MIXINDX, RECINDX and TAGINDX (the "Software"). By installing or using the Software you accept these terms.

Version 1.5 applies to licenses purchased on or after 8 November 2026, and to the free apps from that date. Earlier purchases remain under version 1.3 (7 November 2026) or, before that, version 1.2. Version 1.4 (8 November 2026, earlier the same day) differs from 1.5 only in the wording about RECINDX.

1. License

When you purchase a license, RMKSOUND grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the Software on the computers that you own or control, up to the number shown on the app's product page (SOUNDINDX and SCRIPTINDX: three (3) computers). The license is a one-time purchase: it does not expire. Updates to the major version you bought (for example SOUNDINDX 1.x) are included at no extra charge. A new major version (for example 2.0) is a separate release: RMKSOUND may offer it for a separate price, and your license for the earlier major version remains valid for that version. Versions before 1.0 count as part of version 1. A trial version may be used free of charge for the stated trial period.

System requirements. The Software requires the operating system and hardware stated on its product page at the time of purchase.

How updates reach you. The apps check for updates themselves, and an update is installed when you choose. If the built-in update check ever stops working or an update cannot be installed automatically, for example because RMKSOUND changes how its software is signed, you need to download the latest version yourself from indx.audio. The app may then not tell you that a new version exists.

TAGINDX is free. RMKSOUND grants you the same license for TAGINDX free of charge, on computers that you own or control, without a purchase, a trial period or a license key. The rest of these terms apply to TAGINDX as well, except where they speak of purchases, license keys, trials or refunds.

2. What you may not do

• Distribute, resell, rent, or sublicense the Software or your license key.
• Circumvent the license mechanism or make the Software available to others as a service.
• Reverse engineer the Software except where applicable law expressly permits it.
• Use the recording features of the Software to get around copy protection, or to record people secretly or without the consent the law requires.

3. Your content

Audio files you open, edit, or export with the Software are yours. RMKSOUND claims no rights to your content, and the Software never uploads your audio anywhere.

MIXINDX can record the main mix of the apps you route to it, but only when you start a recording. You alone decide what is recorded and what you do with it. You are responsible for having the right to record it: the consent of the people heard in it where the law requires consent, and compliance with copyright and privacy law where you are. RMKSOUND does not receive, store, or review your recordings and gives no legal advice.

4. Purchases and refunds

Purchases of SOUNDINDX, SCRIPTINDX and MIXINDX are processed by our merchant of record, Lemon Squeezy, which handles payment, receipts and applicable taxes.

Refund policy. Each of these three apps has a free, fully functional trial, so you can test it in your own work before buying. If the app still does not work for you, you can request a full refund within 14 days of purchase, no questions asked: email support@indx.audio with your order number, or use the link in your Lemon Squeezy receipt. The license key is deactivated when the refund is issued. This does not limit your statutory rights as a consumer.

RECINDX is free during its TestFlight beta, so there is nothing to purchase or refund. When RECINDX is sold on the App Store, the purchase and refunds are handled by Apple.

TAGINDX is free, so there is nothing to purchase or refund.

If something doesn't work, contact us first: most problems can be fixed.

5. No warranty

The Software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. RMKSOUND does not warrant that the Software will be error-free or uninterrupted. You are responsible for testing the Software in your own environment before relying on it in production or performance use.

Operating system and hardware changes. The Software depends on Apple's operating systems and hardware, which Apple changes without notice. RMKSOUND does not guarantee that the Software will work on future versions of macOS or iOS or on future hardware, or that updates will be issued for older operating system versions. We intend to keep the Software working on current versions and will make reasonable efforts to correct problems that a new operating system version causes, but we may stop supporting older versions. This section does not limit your statutory rights as a consumer.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RMKSOUND's total liability arising from the Software is limited to the amount you paid for your license. RMKSOUND is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including lost profits or lost data. RMKSOUND is not liable if the Software stops working, or works incorrectly, after an update of macOS, iOS, or other third-party software or hardware. Nothing in this agreement limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, nor the statutory rights of consumers.

7. Termination

This license ends automatically if you materially breach these terms. You may end it at any time by deleting the Software. Sections 3, 5, and 6 survive termination.

8. Governing law

This agreement is governed by the laws of Finland. Disputes are settled in the district court of RMKSOUND's domicile, or, if you are a consumer, in the court required by mandatory consumer law.
